Does Minds take a cut of membership fees?
Nope! Memberships created with Networks connect directly to your own Stripe account, so member funds go directly to you, not through us as a middleman. You can even bring members from external services like Bloomerang.
Is a mobile app included with all plans?
Your own mobile app is an add-on to your basic pricing plan. All Community and Business plans are eligible for the mobile app add-on. We'll work with your team to create the app store listing, launch the app, and keep it updated with new features.
Who owns the user data?
We believe strongly that users who join your network are your users. To that end, you own all user data, including email addresses, engagement, and interests data, which you can use to supercharge your existing CRM.
Do Minds Networks scale?
We've been using the software to run our own network for over a decade, with millions of registered users and periodic waves of traffic from mentions in media like the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. We're confident we can handle any scale.
Am I locked into Minds Networks?
Our mission is to elevate global discourse through online freedom, which puts serious emphasis on self ownership. To that end, Minds Networks are built on open source software. While we provide the service of hosting and improving the software, it's also possible to fork the code and run it yourself.
What is ActivityPub?
ActivityPub is an open standard for social media posts that enables posts from one provider to be compatible with another. Minds Networks use the ActivityPub protocol, so posts created on your network can optionally reach audiences on other ActivityPub-powered providers like Mastodon, Threads, and Flipboard.
